HI all,
Well as Lauren has already blogged, we have had a busy couple of weeks from leaving the Whitsunday’s, and getting to Townsville and Magnetic Island. Both places we really enjoyed, the Strand area of Townsville was fantastic; lovely walks along the foreshore, and plenty of activity. Beautiful gardens right near the Marina that is set up as a memorial for all those that fought and especially the people of our armed forces that died protecting our country and our way of life. It is a great place to spend some time and reflect on just how lucky we are to be living in the Australia that we have!!! We also spent some time looking at the forts on Magnetic Island, again a great reminder of how close the war got to our shores. Seeing the gun stations that sit high on the hills of Mag

Good afternoon :)
The last few weeks have been very exciting.
We have made lots of new friends in Townsville and at magnetic island, we had a party and drank cocktails.
We went bush walking to the Forts on magnetic island, and I filmed the walk for the documentary, the views were amazing.
We also spent a lot of time collecting some amazing shells!

Hello readers,
Sorry I have been slack with blogs recently.
About three weeks ago I flew out of Rockhampton airport and arrived in Brisbane airport where Dave was waiting to pick me up and take me to the Gold Coast. We were invited to one of his school friends’ weddings the next weekend. It was a really great two weeks on the Gold Coast, I really enjoyed catching up with my friend Amelia, Going shopping, watching movies and baking :D
While Dave was at work, I also spent a lot of time with his brother, Bucky which was great, we watched a “Heroes” marathon and hung out A time line of our Journey so far:
Fun things I’ve done the past three weeks
GREAT KEPPEL ISLAND
- I Climbed in a hammock up in a tree that some old yachties had made!
- We met Robert and Linda, lovely people from America
- I went around in our little rubber duck and invited everyone for sundowners and a fire on the beach.
- Caught up with people we have met on our trip
- We night sailed to the Percy’s Islands, at the bottom end of the Whitsundays! It was pretty rough!!
Hi All,
We have decided to leave to Whitsundays a bit early, the wind has come up and they have been predicting 20 knot SE winds for the next few day so we have headed north, two nights ago we where moored in Nara Inlet at Hook Island had a reasonable night sleep, just a little rolly with the SE winds pushing swell up the inlet. We made the decision around 11am to head north so we sailed out and headed for the Gloucester Passage and our intended anchorage near Mo
