Hi everyone,

Things have been very busy here at South Pacific Resort, which is great. The resort has had a few record months in a row so we must be doing something right. It still isnt anything like the joy of sailing with your family, but atleast I do get to work in a beatifull place.

Joanne and I have also been busy looking at houses with the aim of getting back into the property market before it climbs again and whilst interest rates are low. We were lucky enough to come across a lovely 5 bedroom house on 4.5 acers of farmland near the township of Eumundi (about 15 mins from Noosaville). It actualy settles this week, we plan to rent it out in the new year as we are still required to live onsite at the resort for the next 6-12 months. It is a long term goal to have a place to call home where Sam feels safe and secure and that our other kids and eventually our grandkids can visit Captain Adam and Grandma Jo. There will be chooks, Goats (Percy Island of Course), a cow and god know what else if Jo gets her way. Of course the house has to have a name and no one will be overly supprised to find out that it will be “Somerset Farm”. The dream then can live on long after we stop sailing. Speaking of sailing, Somerest Cat is still on the Gold Coast at the Boat Works complex. I was down there last weekend and she is looking a bit sad and missing the constant TLC that she gets when we are on board. We are getting her polished and they are moving her to a new section at the Boat Works away from the work area. Hopfully that will keep her a bit cleaner. The staff at the Boat Works have been super helpfull and I would Recomended them to anyone looking at getting some work done on their boat. If the boat does not sell we make take her for a sail for a month or so? Time will tell.

Nothing else to exciting happening, Mac and I have been kiting a bit which has been great, Sam has been enjoying endevour, but I think he is getting a bit sick of the confined space of the 2 bedroom apartment at the resort. Jo’s book has had a few holdups and Christmas has snuck up to quickly. It now looks like it will now be launched in Feb next year, but we will keep you all informed.

Anyway I better get back and do some work, I really just want to wish you all a very merry, happy and overall, joy filled  Christmas and a wonderfull new years. From all our family to yours lots of  love.

The Smiths, Adam, Jo, Sam, Lauren and Mac.
